Truth, Knowledge and Peace through Scripture

                                                     Time to get Saved

"And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. "He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned." Mark 16:15-17 The only way to be saved is through Jesus Christ, God's one and only Son. We further believe that we are now very close to the end of the world, and the urgancy of the message of salvation is greater now then it has ever been before. The fact is are we sure that we have been saved? The end of the world is only a heart beat away, one could be involved in a fatal automobile, airplane, or "freak" accident, and it would then be the end of his or her world, another could die from a terminal illness while others could experience death from natural causes. Would it not be prudent to invest into our eternal future? would it not be prudent for us to call on the name of the Lord and our God and pray to Him for His lovingkindness, His Divine Mercies and His Salvation? for He says, " At the acceptable time I listened to you, and on the day of salvation I helped you." "Behold, now is the acceptable time," behold, now is "The day of salvation." 2 Corinthians 6:2. Again if we turn to the Old Testament we read "Salvation belongs to the Lord; Your blessing be upon your people." Psalm 3:8. In the new testament book of John we have been re-assured of our salvation, we read - "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him." John 3:17. We ought to ask God through His Son Jesus Christ to save us now, we ought to pray for forgiveness of our sins and for the courage to sin no more. We ought to believe in the Son Jesus Christ and believe that Jesus is capable of saving us from the fires of hell. "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12. My friends, I plead with you, get down on your knees and pray for forgiveness, read the Bible daily let the saving words of the Bible sink into your hearts, mind and your very soul, let Jesus come into your lives and be a comfort and a light for you. Pray the sinners prayer, beg Him for forgiveness of your sins. Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and He will forgive you your sins if you just believe in Him and ask Him for forgiveness. Why not be like the tax collector in the Gospel of Luke? why not recite and memorize the prayer of this man? - "God, be merciful to me, the sinner!" Luke 18:13. "Let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins." James 5:20.
